Gravity Aluminum Castings (Gravity-Poured Aluminum Parts)
These aluminum alloy castings are formed by pouring molten aluminum into solid metal molds relying purely on the gravity of the molten metal. The official industry name is Permanent Mold Gravity Cast Aluminum Castings.
I. Process Principle
1. Mold: Steel metal molds that can be recycled repeatedly, unlike disposable sand molds.
2. Pouring: No external pressure. Molten aluminum flows into the mold cavity only by its own weight.
3. Cooling: Metal molds dissipate heat rapidly, resulting in dense grain structure of the castings.
4. Post-processing: Open the mold to take out workpieces, then remove flash to obtain finished blanks.
